The SYF results are coming out this week!

I do hope that we get SYF Gold with Honours, because the performance the actresses and ensemble put up was definitely worth Gold with Honours.

Plus, ahem, not to mention the "Shadow Girls". Until i joined stage, i have never realised how insanely mentally draining backstage can be. Kudos to Krystle, Sofia, Wango, Vitt and Iris. You guys did the crossfades and openings and closings with such emotion. Who knew that backstage would involve emotion, seriously. Especially to Krystle and Sofia, who told me the cues and cue no.s during rehearsal and the performance itself, so I wouldn't need to strain my eyes to look at Pat. We created MAGIC together :D
And most kudos to Jane, who oversaw everything backstage.

But I think what blew me away the most was the emotion the ensemble and the actresses displayed. I asked one of the AJCians how was the ACJC performance, and how was AJ's performance. Expecting him to say something really good about ACJC, I wasn't surprised when he said that it was "really funny".
Which was why, when he said, "But towards the end, i fell asleep leh" made me reaaaally happy. And though he didn't understand a single thing that was going on during AJ's play, the emotion and the professional acting - professional everything, actually - he did not fall asleep. Not once. And this is an AJCian, who are not really known for their appreciation for the arts.

Says something about the vast difference in the quality, doesn't it?

But even if we don't get SYF Gold with Honours, it doesn't matter, because we know that we have managed to touch people with our play.

And that I believe, is the point of a play in the first place.

And I am SOOOOOOOOO thankful that i made my own choice to go to AJC instead of listening to my parents and headed to ACJC instead. For the first time in my life, i feel absolutely assured that i made the right choice.

Awesome storyline though
beginning was a bit draggy,
awesome characters,
just the right amount of humour,
not overly fairytale,
yet not overly heart-wrenching
as Da Chang Jin[SORRY JOAN],
just how real life is.
Great morals taught,
even greater singing,
well-written script,
and has the best
